Dentists

Dr. Laura Fox
Dr. Fox has been practicing dentistry in Collingwood since she graduated in 1999 from the University of Western Ontario with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Prior to beginning her dental career, Dr. Fox earned her Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biology from Queen's University in 1995. She helps her patients feel at ease by providing gentle, quality dental care in a comforting environment. Especially rewarding to Dr. Fox, is working with young children and nervous patients to create a positive experience for a lifetime of good oral health. Dr. Fox also has a special interest in performing cosmetic procedures such as bonding, porcelain crowns and veneers to transform patients' smiles.

Dr. Leena Chohan
Dr. Chohan graduated in 2007 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Toronto. Prior to beginning her dental studies, she attended The University of Western Ontario where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2003.

Dr. Chohan spent the first two years of her dental career providing care to patients in remote areas in Northern Ontario before relocating to Collingwood. She became a part of our team in the fall of 2009, bringing her knowledge, experience and gentle patient care.

Dental Hygienists

Lorna, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lorna, a dental hygienist with more than 25 years of experience, joined Dr. Fox’s office in April 2002. Throughout the years Lorna has worked in a variety of dental offices, including 10 years with a Periodontist. A graduate of Seneca College, Lorna received her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1980.

Sally, Registered Dental Hygienist
Sally has been employed in Dr. Fox’s dental practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2004. After graduating from the Dental Assisting program at Niagara College in 1997 and gaining work experience in the dental field, Sally decided to further her dental education. In 2003, she obtained an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene, with honours, from Erie Community College.

Dental Assistants

Mandy, Level II Certified Dental Assistant
Mandy has been working at our office since 2002 as a chairside dental assistant. In 2001 Mandy received her Level II Dental Assisting Certificate from Georgian College. In addition to her Dental Assisting Certificate, Mandy possesses a Certificate in Health Sciences, also from Georgian College.

Jana, Level II Certified Dental Assistant
Jana became a member of our team in the beginning of 2008. She is a graduate of Thomson Education Direct, where she achieved her Level I and Level II Dental Assisting Certificates in 2003.

Sarah, Level II Certified Dental Assistant
Sarah graduated from Canadore College in North Bay in 2001 and has been a resident in the Georgian Bay area all her life. A member of our dental office since the summer of 2009, Sarah provides chairside assistance to the dentists and hygienists in the office.

Receptionist

Jessica, Receptionist
Jessica has been the practice's full time receptionist since moving to the area in 2002. Her extensive knowledge of dental procedures and dental insurance allows her to assist patients with any questions they may have regarding their treatment. Jessica began her career in dentistry as a dental assistant but has since transitioned to reception. Concurrently obtaining a Certified Dental Assistant Certificate from Career Canada College and an Office Administrative Certificate from Mohawk College in 1998 is an indication of Jessica's hard work and dedication.
